To My Second Grader

To my dearest little one,

You're not so little anymore! In just a mere few days you will embark on your journey into second grade! I for one, cannot believe it! How fast you have grown how big you are getting, how large your vocabulary is, it's amazing to think that one day you'll be a man, and to say that your father and I raised you will be the greatest honor.

I've watched you go from learning to roll over and lift yourself up off of a pillow, to crawling around the house. From tummy time to tickle times. From ABC's to 123's, to learning to read and write. There are so many milestones that you have hit, and so many more to come, I'm certain.

You are the sweetest little boy that I know, bringing people tissues when they cry, giving out hugs and kisses all the time, and telling us we're "the best parents ever," warms my heart every time that I hear you say it. To say that time has flew is an understatement. You're seven now, and growing more and more each day.

You're going to love second grade! I know I did. We got to do so much, and it was so much fun. You get to learn so much more, read so much more, enjoy so much more! I know that you are going to have a blast at school. But that doesn't mean I won't miss you. Having you home over the summer has been a blast for me, too. Even if I was battling depression, you were always right there, my little love, making sure I was okay.

I love you more than you know, little guy, and I hope you have a blast this year in school.

Love Always,

Mommy
