Delightful December Ditties

It is most definitely that time of year again. That means all the Christmas and holiday music takes over the radio stations. But all the same old same old music kind of gets old after a while, doesn't it? I enjoy some really alternative holiday music, and I wanted to share it with you guys!

Ho-Ho-Hopefully
The Maine

I love this because it is just so different, but still has a Christmas-y feel to it.

Go Tell It On The Mountain
Fracesca Battistelli

I love the beat on this one, and while it is a classic, it's a nice, rhythmic rendition of it!

Let Me Sleep, It's Christmas
Pearl Jam

It's Pearl Jam - need I say more? Also, yes. Let me sleep, please.

Making Christmas
Danny Elfman

Ah, The Nightmare Before Christmas. The movie that can double as a Halloween movie OR a Christmas movie!

Thank God It's Christmas
Queen

Well, you guys KNOW how much I love me some Freddie Mercury, so this was a given. Don't hear it played too often either.

Carol Of The Bells
Beta Radio

I've never heard Carol of the Bells with Banjos. Surprisingly beautiful!

A Great Big Sled
The Killers

The Killers have a great number of albums behind them, but this is one of my favorite songs by them!

Jingle Bells
ActionAid

This was made for ActionAid, "ActionAid is an international non-governmental organization whose primary aim is to work against poverty and injustice worldwide." Proceeds that came from this EPIC album went to them.

The Christmas Guest
Johnny Cash

A BEAUTIFUL song by good old JC. Beautiful.

What Child Is This?
Bad Religion

A hard-rock version of an awesome classic.
