Elementary Box Review

As many of you know, my husband and I homeschool our son. It isn't always easy, but it is a rewarding experience to see that "a-ha!" moment when something clicks. We've been going through a correspondence course, where we send his work to his educational adviser and they send us his grades back, and at the end of it all, we get a transcript. Pretty easy. But I wanted to add something else to the mix. Something new and exciting that would get his attention. That's why I was so excited when I came across Elementary Box

Essentially, it is a teacher's "care package." And I have to say that I absolutely love it. Each box is filled to the brim with various learning tools for children, depending on the grade you choose, and even a little gift for the teacher! I was so excited to dive right in and see what October's box had to offer!

Syrus just adored these mini erasers that came in the box. He wanted to use them all the time.

Then of course there was these adorable pumpkin decorations. We had the idea of turning them into wall of the alphabet to help Syrus along with his schooling, and they have really been helping him out ever since. Plus, they're pretty festive for the season!

Another item that Syrus absolutely adored are these "counting bears." They are meant to help children learn and develop their math skills. I have to say, since receiving these awesome little bears, he has been doing so well at math, and he actually looks forward to it!

One of my favorite parts of the box was the books that came along with it! As many of you know, October was national Bullying Awareness Month. Because of that, Elementary Box sent along these two great books:

Syrus loved reading these books and often asks for them at bedtime. I think they both have great lessons in them and are wonderful for young children to learn about bullying and standing up for themselves.

Finally, the teacher's gift was a beautiful fabric tissue holder, which I keep in my purse at all times, well, because tis' the season for little one's runny noses, am I right?

All in all, I was very pleased with Elementary Box, it is well worth the money and is perfect for teachers to give their educating a little more "oomph."
