Will Blog For Books: Review of "Dear Luke, We Need To Talk, Darth"
So I have something to admit. I'm a bit of a geek. While I'm not outwardly geeky, I do share a love of science fiction and pop culture. I'm just your typical Whovian mom who is totally Sherlocked because Once Upon A Time I decided to start watching television. Well, Netflix, anyway. We don't have cable in our house, but rather a Roku box. It's actually kind of nice. Gives me more time for reading books since I have to wait for new episodes of my favorite shows to be put on Netflix. Speaking of books, I recently had the chance to read Dear Luke, We Need To Talk, Darth by John Moe.
I have to say, from beginning to end, it certainly kept my attention. At first glance, I thought it might be all about Star Wars, so I was a bit skeptical, but from the first page, Moe makes the book entertaining and keeps it light with his fictional letters and correspondences to and from famous pop culture icons like Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, a letter from Dora The Explorer's mom, and a bunch more. I had a great time reading this book, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to have a good laugh.
Even my husband and my sister enjoyed reading this book. My sister being the die-hard geek that she is was terribly excited when she laid eyes on the book. I had to shoo her away because I wanted to read it first! Never has a book been so popular around our home! If there was ever a book that I would highly recommend, it would certainly be this one, hands down.
